Player and Immelman meet SAGDB youngsters
Gary Player and Trevor Immelman took time out from the Nelson Mandela Invitational (NMI) on the 25th of November to spend some time with learners from the SA Golf Development Board (SAGDB). 22 players from the development programme attended the NMI as guests of the Sunshine Tour.
The tournament provided a wonderful opportunity for the SAGDB players to see top international golfers in action, while appreciating the beauty of the Arabella layout.
Player and Immelman met the young golfers after the day’s play, and after shaking hands with all the youngsters, Player handed over a donation of golf balls from Callaway to the SAGDB. Callaway donated a large number of balls used by the players during the event to be used in the SAGDB’s coaching programmes.

Immelman then provided the highlight of the visit by holding a clinic with the aspiring young players. This is the second consecutive year that Immelman has made himself available to conduct a clinic at the NMI, demonstrating his commitment to the future of golf in South Africa.
