Zethu soars in Mpumalanga

The SAGDB's top female graduate, Zethu Myeki from Border, ended the year on a high note with victory at the Mpumalanga Ladies Championship. The event is the last major tournament on the South African women's amateur calendar.

Myeki started slowly with an opening round of 76, but then pulled away from the field with two scores of 72 to finish on four over par. That put her three shots clear of her nearest rival, Danielle du Toit.

The victory also means that Myeki ends the year in third position on the Womens Golf South Africa Order of Merit. She has not been outside of the top five in the past three years.
