SAGDB dominates in Central Gauteng

Steven le Roux won back to back junior titles in Central Gauteng

Players from the SAGDB scored a clean sweep in two Central Gauteng Golf Union (CGGU) junior open tournaments towards the end of June. They won the A, B and C divisions at both the Modderfontein and Observatory events.

At Modderfontein, Steven le Roux shot rounds of 75 and 73 to take first place in the A division. The youngster from Free State is currently residing in Gauteng and playing his last few tournaments on the junior circuit before he turns 19.

In the B division Soweto's Thompo Ndou secured first place with 18-hole scores of 85 and 82. The C division was won by fellow Soweto golfer Bonkosi Ntsele, who secured 75 stableford points over the two rounds.

Two days later at Observatory, Steven le Roux once again took the overall gold medal. He carded rounds of 77 and 71 to take the A division title.

In the B division Joe Dlamini claimed victory with rounds of 78 and 82, while the C division title went to Tshifumo Ndou on 80 stableford points.
