Ten current and three past SAGDB players competed for the various provinces at the recent SA u23 Teams Tournament at the Country Club Johannesburg. In all, seven of the teams had at least one SAGDB player in their ranks.

In the A section, Hayden Garcia and former SAGDB member Aslam Mallick turned out for Western Province, who ended tied for third. Hayden had a difficult time in the singles, winning just one of his five matches, but he and his partner Cole Cruickshank won four out of five in the foursomes. Aslam earned two and a half points in the singles, but lost all of his foursomes matches.

Also in the A section, SAGDB graduate Kwanele Mkhoma and current member Samuel Gouma turned out for KZN. Both won two and halved two of their singles matches, while as a team they only managed to win one in the foursomes.

The only other SAGDB player in the A section was Gauteng North's Kifentse Nukeri. He won only one singles match and one foursomes match.

The SAGDB enjoyed higher representation in the B section, where Franklin Manchest, Riaan Grootboom and Hans-Jurie Human were all part of the Southern Cape team that won promotion. Franklin tied for third in the most valuable player standings, winning two and halving one of his singles matches, and teaming up with Caylum Boon to win five from five in the foursomes.

For the Free State, Steven le Roux earned two and a half points in the singles and three in the foursomes. He helped his team to tied second with Boland.

SAGDB graduate Neswill Croy and current member Keelan Africa were part of the Boland side. Banele Mavuso and Gift Zulu played for Mpumalanga.
