Good returns in Central Gauteng

In a strong showing for the development programme, players from the SAGDB were amongst in the prizes in all three of the recent junior tournaments they entered in Central Gauteng. The tournaments form part of the official Central Gauteng Golf Union Junior Tournament schedule.

At the Kyalami event, Raylyn Anthony claimed third place in the A division with rounds of 76 and 74. Both the B and C divisions were won by SAGDB members, with Joe Dlamini shooting 83 and 80 to claim victory in the B division, and Lesedi Nyembezi scoring 31 and 34 stableford points to take first place in the C division.

SAGDB players were once again dominant in the B and C divisions of the event at Royal Kensington & Johannesburg. This time Thompo Ndou won in the B division with scores of 85 and 82, while the C division was claimed by Moloko Seleka, who scored 32 and 39 stableford points.

The Houghton event was reduced to 18 holes due to bad weather, but once again SAGDB players came to the forefront in the B and C divisions. Kgomotso Kgopa was the B division winner on a score of 82, while 10-year old Tebogo Lefifi scored 37 stableford points to win the C division.
