Grant's Tips

Improve your golf with the SAGDB's technical director, PGA coach Grant Hepburn:

"Using a piece of foam or a cardboard box is a good way to explain to players that the club should approach the ball from the 'inside'."

"A simple image of the club about to hit the ball without knocking the piece of foam in picture 1 is easy to remember when compared with the wrong picture 2. It is very obvious that picture 2 is incorrect as the club will hit the foam wall and miss the ball. It is very helpful for a golfer to imagine this 'wall' when hitting the ball and to make sure that they swing from inside that wall."
