Hayden off to India

Hayden Garcia dreams of becoming a professional golfer. One day he hopes to compete in the US Masters and have a shot at the famous green jacket.

Now the 14-year old SAGDB player from Rondebosch Golf Club will have the chance to experience what life is like on the professional circuit when he competes in the 3rd Albatross International Junior Golf Championship in New Delhi, India later this month. The tournament will be held at the Jack Nicklaus signature Classic Golf Resorts course and will be run in the same way as a professional tour event.

Hayden has been given the opportunity to compete in the event by the Western Province Golf Union after he finished on top of the WP Junior Golf u/14 order of merit this year. The trip is reward for all the hard work Hayden has put in during 2011.

The Crawford youngster is currently playing off a 1 handicap, and during the event will compete against players from across the world. The SAGDB wished Hayden well for his trip and encouraged him to fly the flag for South Africa and Western Province golf.
